Set up the field

Create a match play competition and choose how it runs: singles or doubles, single or double elimination. Brackets seed automatically, including byes when the field size does not fill the draw. Round robin pools and flights are available when you want a group stage before the knockout.

Play the matches

Match results arrive two ways. When a match is played inside a scored outing, the round resolves the match from the same scorecard the players already kept, so nobody enters a result twice. A match arranged between members outside an outing is recorded by entering the result directly, with concessions tracked per hole.

Handicap allowances and the tiebreaker policy are configured on the competition, so the rules are decided once instead of argued at the turn.

Winners advance on their own

When a result lands, the winner moves into the next round and the bracket updates. Walkovers are handled for matches that cannot be played, and concessions are recorded rather than fudged into a score. The bracket carries through to the final without anyone maintaining it by hand.

What members see

Every competition gets a public bracket page. Members open it in their phone browser with no login and no app, see the full draw, and find their next opponent. Printable bracket posters with QR codes are built in for the clubhouse notice board.

Part of the same season

Match play runs off the same members, handicaps and scores as everything else in the club. One round can settle several competitions at once: the same card can resolve a knockout match, the day’s prizes and the season standings. Finished competitions feed the season, so the knockout is part of the club’s year rather than a separate spreadsheet.
