Parful Events

How Parful works for a single golf event

Everything below is set up for one event and closed out when it is over. There is no roster to maintain afterward and no season to keep running.

Open for signup. Create your event, set it up end to end, and pay only when you activate it. Small single-day outings run free.

Create an Event
  1. parful.io
Event workspace with the getting ready checklist, collected total, and go live readiness

    Create the event

You start with a name and a date. Parful then asks the questions that decide how the day is scored, because groups, scoring, and results all depend on the answers.

    • How people are competing, individually or in teams, and how many per side
    • How the competition works, from a single leaderboard to match play or a cup
    • Which format, and whether handicaps are used
    • How tees are assigned, how big the field is, and where you are playing

    What can wait

Field size, course, and tee sets can be set later from event settings. The format questions are answered up front because everything downstream reads from them.

  2. parful.io
Registration page with a foursome package, a single player package, and a donation panel

    Get people into the field

The event gets a public page. Players and teams register there, or you invite them directly, or you add them yourself. Packages are what people actually buy: a single spot, a foursome, a sponsorship that includes players.

    • Packages and products, priced and described by you
    • A registration form with your own questions and policies
    • A registrations roster showing who is in and what they bought
    • Missing information worklists, so you can chase the gaps before the day
  3. parful.io
Money desk with collected and still owed totals and cheque and card amounts reconciled

    Money, sponsors, and budget

Event money is not just card payments. A charity day takes checks at the door, cash at a raffle table, and pledges that arrive weeks later, and all of it has to reconcile. Parful has a money desk for exactly that.

    • A transactions ledger for everything sold through the page
    • Sponsorship deals, with what each package promises, artwork, and included player spots
    • An auction and a donations desk, including cash and check donations taken in person
    • Cash stations and drops, a check register, deposit bags, and amounts still owed
    • Reconciliation, payouts, and a financial close when the money is settled
    • A budget plan, an expense register, and a profit and loss statement
  4. parful.io
Check in desk with 32 of 32 players checked in and a searchable field list

Build the field and check people in

Once entries are in, you build the tee sheet. Teams can be assembled by hand or built for you from the entry list. On the morning, the check in desk is where the field actually gets confirmed, including the substitutions that always happen.

    • Groups and a tee sheet
    • Teams, built manually or automatically
    • A check in desk for the morning
  5. Run the day

The parts of an event that have nothing to do with golf are usually the parts that go wrong. Parful keeps them in one workspace rather than in somebody’s notebook.

    • A run of show, a task list, and the people responsible
    • Volunteers and shifts, vendors, course agreements, permits, and documents
    • Carts, packets, prizes, supplies, and signage
    • A weather plan and an emergency reference card
  6. parful.io
Live team leaderboard with ranked teams, scores to par, and contest winners

    Scoring, however the scores arrive

Scores come in from phones during the round. They also come in on paper at the end, because at a charity scramble they always do. Parful takes both, through a card desk built for entering finished paper scorecards.

    • Live scoring during the round, and a card desk for paper scorecards
    • A scoring operations view showing which groups are in and which are not
    • Contests and side games, including closest to the pin and longest drive
    • Flights, match play stages, draws, brackets, and cup sessions where the format needs them
  7. parful.io
Public event page with a hero photo, countdown, raised bar, and registration packages

    What everyone else sees

The public event page is the thing you send out. It carries registration before the day, the schedule and live results during it, and the final results afterward, without you publishing anything separately.

    • A public event page you control the content and appearance of
    • The day’s schedule
    • Live leaderboards, scoreboards, and brackets
    • The rules and format for the day
  8. Close it out

When the golf is finished the event is not. There are sponsors to report to, money to settle, and photographs everyone wants. Closeout produces the report, the financial position, and the recap, and then the event is done.

    • A closeout report and the rest of the event reports
    • A media center for the day’s photographs
    • Communications and scheduled sends for the follow up

What you do not set up

Events skips the machinery a club needs and an event does not. You are not asked for any of this:

  • A member roster to maintain after the event
  • Season standings or a points race
  • Dues, renewals, or membership status
  • An ongoing schedule of fixtures

You set up one event, run it, close it, and that is the end of it. Running a golf event does not require running a golf club inside Parful first.

Running a club instead?

If the same people play together all year and you keep a roster between outings, Parful Clubs is the one built for that.

How Parful works for clubs

Questions organizers ask

Do I need to set up a club first?

No. An event is created on its own, with its own setup, field, money, and closeout. There is no roster to maintain afterward and no season to keep running.

How do players get into the event?

They register on the event’s public page, or you invite them, or you add them yourself. What they buy is a package you have defined, which might be a single spot, a foursome, or a sponsorship that includes players.

What if people pay by check or cash on the day?

That is handled. Alongside card payments there is a money desk for cash stations, a check register, deposit bags, and amounts still owed, so the day reconciles even when half of it arrived in an envelope.

Our scorecards come in on paper. Does that work?

Yes. Scores can be entered from phones during the round, and there is a card desk built for entering finished paper scorecards afterward.

Do we have to use handicaps?

No. Whether handicaps are used is one of the questions asked when the event is created, and a gross event is a normal answer.

When can we use Parful Events?

Now. Create your event at any time, set the whole day up, and pay only when you activate it. A single-day outing with 8 players or fewer runs free.

Ready to run your event?

Create your event and set the whole day up before you spend anything: activation is paid when you go live, and a single-day outing with 8 players or fewer runs free. If you would rather talk it through first, contact us with the date and we will tell you honestly whether Parful can take it.
