Parful Events

Scramble scoring that keeps the whole event moving

A scramble is the friendliest format in golf and the easiest one to lose control of at scale: 30 teams, one score per hole each, and a clubhouse full of people asking who is winning. This page explains how scramble scoring works in Parful Events, from the first tee to the final leaderboard.

How the scoring is structured

A scramble scores one ball per team: everyone hits, the team picks the best position, and the team records a single score for the hole. Parful enforces the right scoring rule for the format, so a scramble card takes one team score per hole rather than four individual scores added together. Standard and custom team handicap formulas are applied when the event plays with handicaps.

The standard scramble is supported today; Texas, Florida and Vegas variants are on the roadmap.

Entering scores on the course

One scorer per team opens the scoring link in their phone browser using a QR code, PIN or direct link. No app download and no accounts. They enter the team score hole by hole and every posted hole lands on the leaderboard while the round is still going.

Paper cards still work

At a charity scramble some cards always come in on paper at the end. Parful has a card desk built for exactly that: finished paper scorecards are entered after the round and join the same leaderboard and results as the phone-scored teams.

The leaderboard during the round

Scores update the leaderboard as they land, so organizers and players can see where the event stands mid-round. The organizer’s scoring view shows which teams are posting and which have gone quiet, and contests like closest to the pin and longest drive settle alongside the main format.

After the last putt

Final results resolve with ties handled, winners are presented, and the results stay on the public event page afterward, so the event does not end with someone photographing a whiteboard.
